Pella® Windows & Doors in Austin, Texas
We're a Pella® Certified Contractor — which means the company that built your windows also trained and audits the crew installing them.
The certification is the whole point.
Anyone can order a Pella® window. Far fewer companies are certified by Pella to install one. Tier One Custom Windows carries Pella® Certified Contractor status, and it shapes everything about how we work — how openings get measured, how units get flashed and set, and what happens if something ever goes wrong years from now. It is the single biggest reason our warranty conversation with Austin homeowners looks different from our competitors'.
What "Pella® Certified" actually requires
Pella runs a tiered program for the contractors it works with, and the certified tiers aren't a logo you can simply ask for. Certification carries real, recurring requirements:
- Background check and verified insurance coverage
- Compliance with local licensing & employment standards
- Annual certification training on products & installation methods
- Annual installation audits of completed work
- Ongoing manufacturer education as product lines change
Certified by Pella® to install and warranty their products at the highest standard — trained annually, audited annually, licensed and insured.
The Pella® collections we supply and install
Pella builds across wood, fiberglass, and vinyl, at genuinely different price points. Part of our job is telling you honestly which collection your project actually needs — not selling you up a tier you won't feel.
Pella® Reserve™
Pella's top-tier wood collection, offered in Traditional and Contemporary lines. Traditional focuses on historically accurate detailing for period-correct homes and renovations; Contemporary uses clad-wood construction for clean, minimal sightlines. This is where the deepest custom sizing, shape, and finish options live.
Pella® Architect Series®
Pella's architectural wood line — extensive custom shapes, sizes, grille patterns, and finish options for custom homes and high-end renovations where the window has to match a specific architectural intent.
Pella® Lifestyle Series
A wood collection built around performance for the way most people actually live — strong energy efficiency and notably better sound reduction than standard glazing. A frequent choice for whole-home replacement in Austin neighborhoods near traffic or flight paths.
Pella® Impervia®
Pella's fiberglass line, built from their five-layer Duracast® composite. Fiberglass resists warping and handles temperature extremes well, which makes Impervia a strong fit for Central Texas heat and west-facing elevations that take the worst of the afternoon sun.
Pella® 250 Series
A vinyl collection with stronger, more durable framing than commodity vinyl, plus upgraded security and privacy glass options. A practical choice for rental property, whole-home replacement on a defined budget, and production work.
Encompass by Pella®
Pella's most competitively priced vinyl collection — easy-care frames and straightforward maintenance. Where budget is the governing constraint and the alternative is leaving failing windows in place, this is the honest answer.
What certification means for your warranty
A Documented Install
Certified installation creates the paper trail that supports a warranty claim later. An undocumented install by an uncertified crew is exactly the gap manufacturers point at when a claim is denied.
Coverage Most Subs Can't Offer
Our certification lets us back your investment with warranty coverage that non-certified installers simply aren't eligible to extend.
Transferable to the Next Owner
Pella's coverage can transfer to a subsequent homeowner within the coverage period — which means a certified install is worth something at resale, not just on day one.
Installed to Manufacturer Spec
Measured, flashed, and set to Pella's published standards. Most window failures are installation failures, not product failures.
Pella® questions Austin homeowners ask
Is Tier One a Pella dealer or a Pella installer?
We're an independent, family-owned company and a Pella® Certified Contractor — we supply and install Pella product, and we're trained and audited by Pella to do it. We aren't owned by Pella, which also means we can put a Marvin®, Andersen®, Western®, or Panda® unit in your home if that's genuinely the better fit.
Which Pella collection is right for a Central Texas home?
It depends on the elevation, the budget, and how long you plan to stay. Impervia® fiberglass handles our heat and sun exposure extremely well; Lifestyle Series is the common pick for whole-home replacement where sound matters; Reserve™ and Architect Series® are for custom homes with specific architectural requirements. We'll walk the house before recommending anything.
Do you install Pella product you didn't supply?
Usually not. Certified installation and warranty documentation work as a package — when we supply and install, the coverage story is clean. Call us and we'll talk through your specific situation.
What does a Pella® quote from you include?
Field measurements, the unit specification including glass package and hardware, installation, the finish trades around the opening (drywall, paint, exterior repair), haul-away, and warranty documentation. No line items that appear after the fact.
Do you work with other manufacturers too?
Yes — Marvin®, Andersen®, Western®, Prestige Steel®, and Panda® for large-format sliding and folding systems, plus commercial systems from Tubelite®, U.S. Aluminum®, and Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope®.
